Jesus Christ, Our Lord, Son of God, Saviour of the world. All the Christians of the world believe in Jesus as a God.
God the Father lives in eternity with His Son and the Holy Ghost. Out of love for humans, he sent His only Son to deliver from death and sin all those who believe in Him. Jesus Christ came to this world and became a man without ceasing being God. He died on the cross for human sins, resurrected from the dead, rose to Heavens and sent the Holy Ghost. He called on all the people to accept His love among themselves, thus earning eternal life.
The name Christ is accepted in all the world languages. Christ means the One anointed by God. God the Father consecrated His Son to be the Saviour of world.
RELIGION AND TRADITION
The Church celebrates the most important moments of Jesus Christ: Birth of Jesus Christ (Christmas), Transfiguration on the Mount, Resurrection from the dead, Ascension and the Descent of the Holy Ghost onto His Disciples.
The believers turn to Christ in their prayers which were put down by the Saint Fathers of the Church. The most important prayer goes: Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me Thy sinful servant.
Who has seen Me has seen the Father (John 14. 9). People can see Christ by revering the holy icons where He is presented in His human nature. Icon painting of Jesus is the highest accomplishment of in human art.
In a mysterious way, Jesus Christ is present throughout the history of the Church as a community of the believers. The Holy Communion, the Eucharist, is the way for people to become one with Him.
